Introduced to music at an early age by his parents, Kevin Conkle started playing guitar at 15 and was singing even earlier than that as a soloist for his school and local church groups by the time he was 10 years old.
By the time Kevin got into High School he had already been in several cover bands, which helped him to improve his own performance skills and taught him the styles of artists who would soon be a major influence when Kevin started writing his own music.
In musical projects for years since then, Kevin is still a member of several bands, including his original project, “Dark Franklin” which has recently released it’s third CD.
Always passionate and outspoken, after 2001, Kevin started to use his creative voice to bring attention to the lies and misinformation of the Bush administration.
Writing articles for blog sites and active in his local elections and campaigning for local Congressman Tim Bishop, Kevin started to use his talent as a singer-songwriter to reach a wider audience and bring attention to matters that were being ignored by the main stream media.
While the lyrics of Kevin’s songs are informative and thought provoking, his music is filled with catchy hooks and are extremely entertaining which will reach a wide range of musical tastes. Whether the listener is into Rock, Folk or Country, they are sure to enjoy this talented artist and performer.
Other than his solo work, Kevin can also be heard in a variety of other musical projects including Dark Franklin, Vagabond Garden, and The Dead RockStars.
